Al Falaq Arsendatama asked:

You can still get guaranteed approval credit cards for bad credit even though you have poor credit history. Many credit card companies provide credit cards with guaranteed approval for bad credit to help you improve your credit rating and at the same time enjoy the benefits of the credit cards. The limit for credit cards for bad credit varies from company to company. It is generally in the range between $5,000 and $10,000.

Application for bad credit credit cards usually does not require credit check. You are approved regardless of income or credit history. Credit cards for bad credit, however, generally have higher annual interest rates than regular credit cards. This is obviously something you should consider when selecting the best credit card for bad credit. Compare some variables such as enrolment fee, APR, credit limit, and any benefits: emergency cash transfer, extended warranty protection, etc.

Bad Credit Credit Cards Improve Credit Rating

Companies providing credit cards for people with bad credit provide monthly reports to major credit bureaus, the institutions that maintain credit history of millions of people around the country. Credit card companies usually have an integrated system that connects to these bureaus to verify the credit rating of people applying for bad credit credit cards.

By making regular payment to your bad credit credit card you are automatically improving your credit history. Try to make at least minimum amount to your credit card before the due date. After some time you will become eligible for normal credit cards and receive the benefits of good credit standing.

Credit Card Application for Bad Credit

Before applying for bad credit credit card you should be clear on the purpose of getting it. Have you already gone over-limit on your current credit cards and need a new one? Or are you applying for bad credit credit card to fix your current credit score? You should also compare various offers from credit card companies to ensure that you get the best one you need. Evaluate every item in the offer and read all terms and conditions. Often some credit cards for bad credit have hidden costs and can become very expensive in the future.

When you are ready you can fill in an application for bad credit credit card. Online application usually takes a few minutes only and you will receive an answer for your credit card request within hours of submitting.

George

John Campbell asked:

Before you ever sign up for a credit card you should read the disclosure box at the bottom of the credit card application. The information you read in the disclosure could change your mind about whether or not you even want the card.

Even if you’ve been pre-approved for a credit card you need to check out all of the terms and conditions associated with the offer. You may find out that you don’t even qualify for the teaser rates or size of credit line advertised in the original offer.

As a general rule of thumb, the smaller the print is the more important the information will be. If you can barely read the disclosure box chances are it contains some vital information the company is hoping you’ll overlook. Putting the terms and conditions in fine print is a standard practice for many companies.

The less you know about the true costs of using a credit card, the more money companies can suck from you before you even know what hit you. And they do get a lot of money from consumers. In 2003 alone, the U.S. credit card industry earned an estimated $30 billion in profit.

The most important things to look for on a credit card application are any annual fees, the annual percentage rate (APR) and the grace period for purchases. If these three vital facts are missing from your credit card application, toss it in the garbage.

Unless your credit is very bad you should qualify for a credit card with no annual fees. Beware of cards that charge annual fees unless you have no other alternative.

You may also want to compare the APRs on various credit card offers. Some companies offer very low introductory rates as low as 0 percent APR. These rates automatically switch to a higher rate after a set period of time. If you’re interested in a card with a low introductory APR make sure the percentage increase won’t be too drastic. Most may have anywhere from 9 to 15.9 percent APR for purchases. Your credit score may determine if you’re eligible for cards with lower rates.

In regards to the listed grace period on a application, the best cards will offer no less than a 25 day grace period on interest charges if you pay your balance in full each month. If the grace period is less you’ll end up spending more in interest each month than is really necessary.

As always, shop around for the best deals out there. There is still a lot of competition amongst the various companies in this multi-billion dollar a year industry. If you read all the terms and conditions for each card you’re interested in you’ll be able to make an informed decision and choose the card that is best for you.

Melanie

Julian Hooks asked:

Prior to trying to raise your credit score you You should get a hold of the basics. You definitely need to understand exactly what it actually is, how it’s derived, and why it is so essential to you and your future.

Creditors and lenders understand the type of info they can get from your credit report you yourself should also know to better prepare yourself for future financial decisions that you may come across. Here are a few easy tips to follow to help you understand the basics of your credit score.

Understanding where your credit score comes from!

if you plan on raising your credit then it is obvious that you have to understand what your score consists of. Without that knowledge you knock in and be very good at improving your score because you don’t understand things you do to affect your score in the first place.

For starters your credit score is just a number that determines how much of a risk lending you money would be. Your score is usually between 300 and 850. The higher your score the less of the risk you are considered. Also the higher your rating the better chance you’ll be given a lower interest rate. Scores in the 600s sometimes have trouble getting approved for credit cards and loans. While those in the 700s and of course 800s received the best interest rates available.

Although these numbers seem pretty concrete keep in mind that there are always open for interpretation. Some lenders are willing to work with those with lower credit scores while others have a cut off. Also some lenders will only view your score while others view you are score and report.

Your credit score of course goes hand in hand with your credit report, which is basically your financial history. Your score is derived from the information in your report. Remember that there are three major credit bureaus and they all have different formulas and possibly different information regarding your credit history in their databases. That is why it is recommended to review all three of your credit reports and scores.

If you do not have a current copy of your credit report then you should be ashamed. You can receive free credit reports online with the click of a mouse so there is no excuse. There is no better way to learn about credit then to view your own report. It is full of vital information and explains the good bad and the ugly of your previous financial situations.

Constance

Think. asked: I applied for a savings account with HSBC and was turned down because I have no credit.
I guess what I’m asking is how I can get and use a credit card with no bank account.
Also, how can I build credit without trapping myself in a bad credit score?
ThanksArthur

These offers, while many consider junk mail, can actually provide you with you a great line of credit with a very reasonable APR (annual percentage rate) and by taking a few minutes of your time to fill out the instant approval credit card application online, you may just find yourself with a brand new line of credit that you can use right away — this is often helpful if you have high interest cards with balances that you would like to transfer to your new credit card.

Highly secure, the benefits of using an instant approval credit card application include the fact that you have been pre-screened for the credit offer and the chances of you being approved are very high; often times these credit cards come with a fantastic introductory rate that will last 6 to 12 months and include any balance transfers you may want to complete at the time of application; instant approval takes a relatively short amount of time and once you have filled in all the necessary information, you can have your decision as quick as a couple of minutes. These benefits are very attractive in this fast paced world we have created and live in, not to mention in these trying economic times, having a ready backup to emergency cash is always a good thing to have set aside.

So, you see, receiving a pre-approval letter for credit in the mail can often lead to the good things mentioned above, especially the peace of mind knowing that if something ever goes wrong, you have a way to make it better in the short term. So the next time you get an instant approval credit card application offer in the mail, do not automatically assume it is junk mail, open it and take the time to research the offer — you may find that this is the right line of credit for you.

Article By Louis, CardKudos[dot]com

Yvonne

Derek C asked:

I want to get a credit card.

I’m 18, a college student and have no credit history as far as I know. I have applied for several cards but was denied because I have no credit history. Also I recently began co-renting an apartment with a friend though and the credit application was approved probably because of his credit. Does this do something to my credit history that would somehow give me a credit history or score or something, and if so, is there some kind of timeframe when stuff starts to get reported to the credit reporting agencies? Thanks for the help.

Zachary
