Additionally, a deadline of about 3 weeks is imposed. Is this legitimate? The letter says this is required by federal law. It seems like either a reasonable way to prevent fraudulent accounts, or just a clever scam. The credit card and circumstances of application otherwise seem reputable.

Hey guys… thought I’d ask this here, I got a credit card about two years ago and just about four months ago I hit a financial road block and have been unable to make much payments. They sent me to collections recently and they have (collection agency), understandably, been calling a lot, however I explained my situation many times but they do not stop calling.

Just recently they have been calling my girlfriend’s house and I am not sure HOW they got her number. Her number is not listed which is even weirder. They call once every two weeks or so though. I did not put it on my card application because I was not with her at the time.

Do you know how this collection agency coulda got her number? And how I could get them to stop calling there?

I activated it and have been using it since. My question is, does it matter that I do not have a business and only using it as a personal account? Am I going to be assumed to report a business during tax season? I got this card but I can’t even get a capitol one card. Someone please help me out here. Thanks!

Ok. Basically, we have some unpaid medical bills. The hospital wants their money paid in full, or for us to apply for a loan from City National Bank and make monthly payments.

I really don’t want to apply for the loan in my name, as I feel I am maxed and any additional loans may hurt my credit. My wife isn’t working, but she does babysit sometimes for money. The application is really simple, it asks for employer and estimated monthly income. Could she get financed with “babysitter” as employer? Or “self-employed”? She has never had credit before, no credit card, nothing. So is it worth a try? Should I just get the loan in my name and work on her credit through a pre-paid card or something? Thanks!

Then I applied for a card with Bank of America, the results? The will send me a letter within 30 days. Does anyone knows why is this happening?
