it said they couldn’t send an immediate response at that time however my online application is being given careful consideration….they said I will be sent a written response within 30 days. Is this their way of saying No in a nice way or does it mean that they will gice me an actual response other than No? and if it is a No why take so long to say it?

Not all credit cards give instant approvals. All this means is that they are considering your application; looking at all the information on your application and credit report. It is not a guaranteed no. Within 30 days you will either get a yes or a letter explaining why they cannot approve you. If you are denied, you can use that denial to get a free credit report from whichever credit bureau they pulled a report.
