Can creditors pursue me in another country for not paying my credit card debt?

Ok first of all I know this is not right so please pass the moral ground for once because the situation I’m in, I have no choice but to leave the country. My green card application went out of the window due to BK of my company that I wok for and I now have to leave the country. I have accumulated some Credit card debt over the years and I have been good on paying more then minimum amount on time however I still got some debt. Anyways, I have to leave the country for immigration status change and I don’t have money to pay off my debt. I will have to go back to my country and start all over and I don’t know if my creditors can find me or not? I can’t pay and I’m a non citizen so what should I do?
