All about applying for credit cards

I was applying for cards and to be honest I don’t even remember filling out the application for this account. But I received a Chase business account card and approved for $10,000 on it. I activated it and have been using it since. My question is, does it matter that I do not have a business and only using it as a personal account? Am I going to be assumed to report a business during tax season? I got this card but I can’t even get a capitol one card. Someone please help me out here. Thanks!

In jan of 2007, when I was 17 years old, I had lied on my age on a credit application to American Express for a credit card. A few days later It came in the mail with a $2000 Limit. I had regretfully used it.

In Feburary, American Express had sent me another CC and I did not use that one nor applied. Also in Feb applied for Chase credit card and also lied on the app about my age. I Recieved it in the mail with a 2K limit. Desprate for rent, I had applied for 3 more credit cards all supplied from chase and had recieved them all with another 3K limit, 5K limit and 2800 limit. And also regretfully used it all.
In the same month I applied for Target (never used but got), Sears (used 250) Imagine(used 300) Credit one(used 300), home depot (used 500) another Imagine(Used 300). I regretfully used them all.
I am scared… Im not sure what to do. Now there in collections. In july I turned 18, and they call looking for the money.
Am I responsible for the debt? What can I do?

If a credit card company issues a credit card to a 14 year old minor because they can lie on the application, can they harrass the parents about paying the debt? Will it carry over after they are 21 to pay or will the statute of limitations apply to this as well- 7 years and off their credit?”
It was a friends Daughter- she wanted to go shopping- gave her real SS# but her age she entered a false birth date to appear older. I dont know why the credit card company gave her a card, was a 300 dollar limit.

I’m having a problem with getting a credit card in my name. Since I’ve graduated from high school I’ve had a credit card but its in mine and my dad’s name. We both assumed that it would build up my credit but it turned out to not. I pay a bills in full and on time but I do not have any credit score obtained. No credit card companies will accept my application because I have no credit. They don’t care that I have a full time job and a checking and savings account. Please I really can use some sound advice because I really hope to someday buy a home and it will be impossible without any credit obtained.
I’ve tried to get a store credit card and failed and I’ve also tried to get a card from my bank. The lady said she would see what she can do since she knows me well but I haven’t gotten any luck yet.

Around 7 months ago I got into quite a financial mess. In the end I ended up missing my credit card minimum payments about 3 times or so. Since 4 or so months ago I caught myself up, paid what I owed from the missed payments all at once, and havn’t paid any payments late since then. Actually pay them earlier than the due date.

I also had a incorrect report on my credit profile. Best Buy’s credit card company had kept reporting me as not paying my balance for 60, 90, 120 days, when in fact I paid that credit card in FULL almost a year ago. Finally they reported me as a collection charge-off, and that’s when I called them and they got that removed, and changed it to account settled in full.

I’m thinking of applying for a small student credit card, from CIBC. Since I am a full-time student, and having a small credit card can come in handy sometimes. (I don’t have the credit cards I mentioned above anymore, I just pay them down, they’re not in use).

What are my chances of getting approved for the $500 Student Card? I don’t want to apply & then get declined again.

Thing is, I got laid-off from my summer job, and now i’m unemployed until I start school next month, when I start my part-time job at the hospital there. So right now I have nothing to put in the employment information section of my credit application.

Im trying to establish my credit now but this is my first time applying for credit. I’ve never owned a credit card before. Everyone I apply to is declining my application due to the fact I have no credit history. Can anyone give me some suggestions on who I can look to to apply for a credit card, who accepts applications for people new to credit???

Ok first of all I know this is not right so please pass the moral ground for once because the situation I’m in, I have no choice but to leave the country. My green card application went out of the window due to BK of my company that I wok for and I now have to leave the country. I have accumulated some Credit card debt over the years and I have been good on paying more then minimum amount on time however I still got some debt. Anyways, I have to leave the country for immigration status change and I don’t have money to pay off my debt. I will have to go back to my country and start all over and I don’t know if my creditors can find me or not? I can’t pay and I’m a non citizen so what should I do?

Free credit card applications after bankruptcy are in great demand and you may be surprised to know still available. Many experts claim that an unsecured credit card after bankruptcy or for those with a damaged credit score is a great option for starting to rebuild your credit score. Now more than ever the numbers of those who are going through the bankruptcy process has never been higher. The records suggest that more people than ever before have a less than average credit score. The big named lenders may have stopped offering credit to those with damaged credit histories but credit is still available for most although you will pay a premium for the credit.

All Lenders who cater for those with below average credit scores do treat their customers as a bad risk compared to those with above average credit scores. Hence this is why you will pay at least a little more for your credit and your initial credit limit may be reduced. With regular repayments your credit score will improve and so will your credit level that is offered to you.

Some with a damaged credit rating may not want further exposure to credit so they opt for a secured credit card. These types of credit cards give you the same functions as credit / debit cards but without the exposure of unsecured credit. You use these cards by loading funds onto the card and use it as a normal credit card. You can use it to shop online or purchase fuel just as you would a normal card.

Think though before you take on more credit! Only take on credit you are sure you can afford!

Ok. Basically, we have some unpaid medical bills. The hospital wants their money paid in full, or for us to apply for a loan from City National Bank and make monthly payments.

I really don’t want to apply for the loan in my name, as I feel I am maxed and any additional loans may hurt my credit. My wife isn’t working, but she does babysit sometimes for money. The application is really simple, it asks for employer and estimated monthly income. Could she get financed with “babysitter” as employer? Or “self-employed”? She has never had credit before, no credit card, nothing. So is it worth a try? Should I just get the loan in my name and work on her credit through a pre-paid card or something? Thanks!
Uh spifiwoman top that link seems like spam. It’s not helpful at all.
